Subject: Official Information request - Chief Executive Recruitment

Dear Invercargill City Council,

1. Please provide record of the council's decision making in relation to the engagement of Sheffields to undertake the recruitment process for a Chief Executive as recently advertised.
A report was considered at Council's meeting of 1 November, when it resolved to appoint Sheffield.

2. Was the process subject to competitive tender and/or were other recruiters considered.
Council sought proposals from three consultancies.

3. Does the Council consider it appropriate to use the same recruiter / recruitment company who recruited the incumbent CEO?
This question is declined as it does not seek information held by Council.
