Dear New Zealand Police,
Under the official information act I would like to request the following
1) All Vehicles used and the quantity in the Palmerston North police station.
2) I would like it to be broken down by department, e.g Highway, PST, AOS etc. The Vehicle used and the quantity of them.
3) I would like every single car and its brand and model and its police department.

I can confirm that I am a New Zealand citizen and I currently reside in New Zealand.

Dear Ministerial Services,
Respectfully I do not believe your claim that “the information is not available”. I have previously requested the Palmerston North station fleet and have not had an issue getting the exact station fleet and not getting the entire of the central district.
Is there a chance I could get the Palmerston North fleet or would opening another request/complaining to the obudsman be a better option.

Thank you for your query. After further investigation it was established that your previous OIA for the Palmerston North Fleet data was completed locally, whereas this request was completed at National Office, who collate the fleet data by Police District not city, hence provision of Central District data.
Please accept our apologies, I have now assigned a new request to the local team and asked that they prepare the response as soon as possible, the new OIA number is IR-01-23-1847.
