Dear Department of Internal Affairs,
What are the ministers, agencies and contractors that are responsible for liaising with social media platforms in NZ
Department of Internal Affairs
Tēnā koe Jai,
Thank you for your enquiry. Your question has not currently been accepted as an OIA request as it is not duly particular. Refer section 12(2) of the Act.
For context, please be aware that the Department of Internal Affairs has no oversight or authority across all public service agencies and entities and does not centrally hold information about activity across government. You can find more information about the functions of the Department of Internal Affairs on the Department's website.
There is no central authority overseeing all public service engagement with social media agencies, or 'owning' that relationship and there is no part of government that will hold information on all of the individuals engaging with social media agencies in all possible ways across government. This information exists only in a distributed way with the agencies/entities and Ministers offices themselves. You will need to engage with different agencies, entities and Minister's offices to enquiry about the specific activity of each.
To be accepted as an OIA request, please provide further information about what specific information you are interested in.
