Decision by Police to claim areas of Lebanon or Syria are part of 'Israel'

Mohammed Khan made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

Response to this request is long overdue. By law New Zealand Police should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Mohammed Khan

Dear New Zealand Police,

I am interested by the document Police produced, purportedly making a case for the renewal of the designation of the self-defence wing of Lebanese Hezbollah as a 'terrorist group'.
https://www.police.govt.nz/sites/default...

1) The sole claim that the report makes about 'terrorist activities' regards an incident in 6 August 2021, when, in retaliation to illegal zionist terrorist attacks on Lebanon, Hezbollah fired self-defence rockets near terrorist positions in the 'Shebaa Farms' area. This area is part of an wider region that is illegally occupied by the zionist entity following its 1967 sneak attack on peaceful Arab nations. While it is disputed whether it is part of Syria or Lebanon, the UN and MFAT both agree that it is not part of the so-called 'state' of 'israel'. No legitimate organization claims the Shebaa Farms are part of 'israel'. Both Syria and Lebanon's governments have always supported the liberation of the Shebaa Farms from the zionist entity.

Provide all documents and communications that led Police to falsely claim that Hezbollah firing near an area that is not part of 'israel' and which is illegally occupied by the 'israeli defense forces' terrorist group violated the Terrorism Suppression Act.
2) The report claims that "a range of think tanks" were referred to, but the 'range' is obviously very limited. Was any consideration given to engaging with any 'think tanks' that are not openly zionist and which do not support the genocide of the Palestinian people?
3) The report refers to consulting a 'regional news source', the so-called 'Times of Israel'. Was any consideration given to engaging with regional news sources from countries like Lebanon and Syria that have been repeatedly subjected to orgies of mass slaughter like those the zionists perpetrated at Sabra & Shatila, regional news sources from countries where Hezbollah protect the native people of the Middle East from further zionist massacres?
4) The 'other sources' cited, the "Jewish Telegraphic Agency Australian National Security,
Eye on Hezbollah, and The United States Department of Justice" are openly zionist and supportive of zionist war crimes and illegal occupation as well. Was any consideration given to engaging with 'sources' that support human rights?

Cheers,
Mohammed Khan

This OIA consists of racist tropes that would be defined as 'antisemitism' according to the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

I urge the New Zealand Police to refuse this request.

Thanks Dan,

I'm confused by your response.

You state "Police is not responsible for the designation of terrorist entities, rather designations are made by the Prime Minister."

Are you now claiming that this request regarding the zionist false accusations against Hezbollah that you mindlessly echo should have been forwarded to the DPMC (well within the initial request period), rather than you engaging in delaying tactics to waste the time of decent human beings who oppose the genocide of the people of Lebanon and Syria? If so, why did you waste two and a half months pretending that you would respond to it?

Yours sincerely,
Mohammed Khan
