National Gang List- provision of data from other agencies
Andrew Li made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was successful.
From: Andrew Li
Dear New Zealand Police,
In regards the operation of the Gang Intelligence Center, and the 'National Gang List', you have been quite forthcoming about the differences in the process by which an individual might be identified and added to said list, vs. those by which they might be removed, very much appreciated.
In regards the 'intelligence' used in adding an individual to the list, please provide a list of any outside agencies who have provided information used to support additions of individuals to the NGL, and examples of the forms of collaboration such agencies have provided. For example, drivers license photos from the NZTA, photographs from the NZ Passport office, reports from Oranga Tamariki, etc.
Regards,
Andrew Li

Thanks Catherine,
Under the Official Information Act, the time for responding to this request is now overdue. You may not, legally, at this point, extend the time limit to respond to the request under section 15(A).
Is the information available at this point? If not, I'm afraid I will have to complain to Commissioner Coster, as I'm sure he cares about his organization actually complying with the law.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew

Thanks Jeremy,
I'll look to produce an OCR version of this myself so it can be more readily searched, but this is very helpful.
Cheers,
Andrew
