From: James Scott
Dear AT Official Information (AT),
Thank you for your response but it has not clarified my concerns and I am going to need to request further information.
The bus lane in question reverts to general parking outside of it's hours of operation. The bus lane at the location queried does not provide access to any turning lanes and is not driven in by vehicles that are not permitted to use it.
It is often subject to vehicles parking in the bus lane, but I note that this is not the offence targetted in the documentation provided and that this offence would still require the attendance of an officer to authorise a tow, negating the benefits that are outlined in the documentation.
Is there any specific case (rather than generic all of Auckland) information for this location?
In addition, I request the total number of infringements for the offence commensurate with driving in the bus lane at this location on Sandrignham Road (Between Balmoral Rd and New North Road) for the past five years. Presumably this information would have informed any decision by AT to install cameras in this location aimed at detecting this offence, though you are of course welcome to provide a statement to give context to this data.
Yours sincerely,
James

Dear AT Official Information (AT),
Pretty simple really.
The documentation provided is generic strategy document for all of Auckland.
I have explained why the current situation on Sandringham Road does not fit in to this strategy and asked for the specific documentation that documents the decision to insert cameras at this location.
Yours sincerely,
James
From: James Scott
Dear AT Official Information (AT),
I want information specific to the installation of this camera, not generic all of Auckland policy information.
There must be a decision documented somewhere... And some supporting material.
Yours sincerely,
James

Dear AT Official Information (AT),
You have an obligation, when using personal information, to ensure it is correct.
The response from Mr Strawbridge is addressed to my personal email address. However, the request was sent through the fyi website and is publically displayed.
I have flagged this for administrator attention and asked them to remove it.
As the response contains information that will be of interest to the public, namely that AT has installed cameras without any specific business case or data to support that installation, I would ask that you resend the reply with the correct email address in the response.
I sincerely hope that this is a mistake, because John Frederick Strawbridge likes to misuse my personal data elsewhere for his own pleasure.
Yours sincerely,
James
