35 Carrs Road

Cody C made this Official Information request to Christchurch City Council

The request was successful.

From: Cody C

Dear Christchurch City Council,

Please advise the intended use of the land at 35 Carrs Road. I understand this has a legal status of road reserve.

However, I don’t believe there is any budget allocated for this land in the long term plan. If this is the case, why is the land not being disposed of?

Yours faithfully,

Cody C

Council Response

That is correct status of 35 Carrs Road. Staff from our Transport and
Parks Teams have confirmed there is no intended use planned for this site
and it could potentially be disposed of.

You have the right to request the Ombudsman to review this decision.

From: Cody C

Dear Sean,

The Strategy & Transformation team have advised me that the section at 35 Carrs Road is planned for “Carrs Reserve New Link” (# 42030) which is detailed in the Council Annual Plan. This means that it *cannot* be disposed of. So respectfully given that the information that you have given me in response was incorrect, I do not consider that the original request was fulfilled.

Given that this work is not budgeted for until 10 years or so from now, please allow me to clarify the request to be "What is the intended use of the site for the next 10 years until the work is completed?".

Yours sincerely,

Cody C
