For example St Heliers, Kohi, Mission Bay have had a crimewave of burglaries, shop and dairy ram raids in the neighbourhood that has escalated to the point where just the other day a group of young teens were accosted in St Heliers Bay Road at knife point and had their phones, shoes stolen while they were out walking.
Where are all the community police? We are told to call 105 as the perpetrators are long gone by the time we get to phone the police.
I also work in a school and we haven't seen our Youth Engagement police in months. They are so critical to stopping the young 12, 13 year olds getting into deep trouble.

So the stats I want is how many community policing houses are being sold off around the country. How often are the ones that remain manned?

I have been asked to advise you that Police requires an extension of time
in which to respond to your request, pursuant to section 15A(1) of the
Official Information Act  1982 (OIA). Specifically, section 15A(1)(b),
consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the
original time limit.

 

Police requires until 3 March 2022 to provide a substantive response to
your request. We are endeavouring to provide this to you as soon as
possible.
