personal information to the named individual, unless disclosure is
authorised by that individual or other valid reasons exist to release the
information.

 

Request for Information - The Official Holiday Season Information from OIA
NZ   

Under the Official Information Act (OIA), we make and communicate
decisions on requests for official information as soon as it is reasonably
practicable and no later than 20 working days after requests are received
(unless that time is extended).  

  

However, according to the Office of the Ombudsman, the three weeks between
Christmas Day and 17 January the following year (inclusive) do not count
as working days. This means that any OIA request submitted from now may
take a bit longer.

Ombudsman’s [2]website will help you count the time a request is likely to
take.

Christmas Hours  

Our Customer Contact Centre will be closed from 12:00 pm on Friday 24th
December. We will be open for the reduced hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
during the Christmas and New Year period, and closed on the public
holidays.
