Dear Ministry of Justice,

I have an ongoing issue re employment as a casual Court Security Officer [CSO]. On a recent Control & Restraint Course [C & R] 28-29 April 14 I was informed six days later that my Course Report stated that I had failed the Course and that HR MoJ had made the decision not to continue employing me. I have requested by email and verbally that a copy the Minutes of the Meeting be supplied to me but to no avail. I consider that I should be privy to the complete documentation as it has potentially long term detrimental aspects pertaining to this and future employment with other agencies if I so wish.

This Meeting would have been in the period between 1 & 3 May 2014 & was hosted by HR MoJ Wellington.

Further to this I require a copy of my Course Report penned by Quinton Swanson who was the contracted Instructor on the C & R Course. This would have been delivered to MoJ either on pm 29 April for soon after and would have discussed at the Employment Meeting hosted by HR outlined above. Again I have asked for copies by email and verbally to no avail.

I have asked Quinton for a copy but he rightly points out that the Report was written for the MoJ and he therefore cannot release it to me; I can understand his point of view.

I notified MoJ that I was utilising the Official Information Act 1982 to obtain the above information on
Mon 12 May 14, and that the Statute time frame that the information has to be delivered within 20 working days
