Shadow banning

Anatoly Kern made this Official Information request to Ministry of Justice

The request was refused by Ministry of Justice.

From: Anatoly Kern

Dear Ministry of Justice,

I am aware of the practice of using shadow banning individuals on email services (on all MoJ services) without any orders under Judicature Act 1908.

May I request any documents that relate to this practice? e.g. work instructions.
More specifically I am looking for the list of keywords/filters currently set on MoJ email servers.

I am concerned that this practice goes in breach of NZHRA 1993.

Yours faithfully,

Anatoly Kern

So common for NZ, never accept the misuse and corruption so it does not exist.

E.g. the 'security system' mentioned in response was used by the court administration to shadow-ban a person in response to revealing the judicial misconduct (judge writing directly to the party), despite the judge accepting the misconduct and recusing herself from the case.

Something everyone who highlights any misconduct within NZ MoJ should be aware of.
