I refer to your request below.
The total amount received from pharmaceutical companies is approximately $23.9m over the period. This amounts to approximately 2% of TVNZ's total revenue.
Some important context to note: When we identify "pharmaceutical companies" as recorded in our system, it includes all advertising placed by those companies. This would therefore include products which are not pharmaceuticals. For instance sanitisers, cleaning products, therapeutic or health remedies made by pharmaceutical companies.
To separate these by product would require substantial work, and therefore Section 18(f) of the Act applies.
