Please provide for me a record of incidents, call outs, arrests within a 1km radius of 264B Ferry Rd Christchurch in the period of 1 January 2019 to the present.

Please breakdown the incidents by type and by proximity to the above address, and provide the infomration in an xls or xlsx form.

Information Act 1982.

 

New Zealand Police proactively releases statistics to the public which are
updated monthly. These statistics can be viewed and downloaded online from
policedata.nz.

 

For this specific request the ‘Victimisation Time and Place’ report will
be the most useful. To access the requested data please follow the below
instructions:

 

1.            Go to

2.            Select the “Map” tab;

3.            Select the time period you require by moving the sliding bar
under “Select Time Period”;

4.            In the “Region” drop down menu select “Canterbury Region”;

5.            Under the “Territorial Authority” and “Area Unit” drop down
menus select the areas you are interested in;

6.            In the “Boundary to display” drop down menu select
“Meshblock”;

7.            On the map select the meshblock area you are interested in.
If you would like to select a larger area, hold down Ctrl on your keyboard
and select multiple blocks;

8.            In the “ANZSOC Division” and “ANZSOC Group” drop down menus
select the offences you are interested in;

9.            After you have selected the above options, the map and
“Occurrence hour and day of the week” table automatically updates to show
the number of events/occurrences for the selected offence types in the
selected area in the period specified.

10.          You can download detailed information about these data using
the download icon at the bottom right of the page and selecting “Data”.

3.            Select the time period you require by moving the sliding bar
under “Select time Period”;

4.            In the “Police/Local Boundary” drop down menu select “Local
Boundaries”;

5.            In the “Police District/Region” drop down menu select
“Canterbury Region”;

6.            Under the “Police Boundaries” table, hover your mouse over
“Police Area/TA” and click the + icon that appears to expand the
categories to show the “Police Station/Area Unit”;

7.            Select any of the areas you are interested in. Select
multiple by holding down the CTRL key;

8.            In the “Occurrence Type Category” drop down menu select
“Crime”;

9.            Under the “Recorded Events/Occurrences” table, hover your
mouse over “Occurrence Division” and click the + icon that appears to
expand the categories to show the “Occurrence Subdivision”;

10.          Repeat over “Occurrence Subdivision” to show the “Occurrence
Group”, and again over “Occurrence Group” to show the “Occurrence
Subgroup”;

11.          Select the offence or activity types you are interested in;

12.          After you have selected the above options, the “Trend” and
“Local Boundary” tables automatically update to show the number of
events/occurrences for the selected occurrence types in the selected area
in the period specified.

13.          You can download detailed information about these
events/occurrences using the download icon at the bottom right of the page
and selecting “Data”.
