Traffic camera footage of accident

Dear Ministry of Transport,

I am seeking camera footage of an accident I was involved in. The incident happened at 3pm (plus or minus 10 minutes) on the 08/08/2021 at the intersection Silverdale Parkway, Twin Coast Discovery Highway. The two cars were travelling east bound along Silverdale Parkway Drive to turn onto Twin Coast Discovery Highway north bound, a dark navy Mercedes (reg:GBF21) and a red Suzuki Swift (reg:EGG365).

On 9/08/2021 you asked for CCTV footage. 

 

The Auckland Transport Operations Centre have downloaded the camera
footage. Whilst we cannot guarantee the footage contains the information
you seek, it has nonetheless been saved. However, Auckland Transport does
not supply CCTV footage directly to members of the public due to reasons
of privacy. Available footage of a specific incident or alleged crime will
only be released to the New Zealand Police, upon receipt of a request from
them.

Please advise the New Zealand Police about the available footage relating
to reference number (CAS-431412-T5T1D8), and to contact Auckland Transport
directly to arrange pick-up of the relevant footage.
 

Should you believe that we have not dealt with your request appropriately,
you are able to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman in
accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA Act and seek an investigation
and review in regard to this matter.
