Effect of Wellington Airport closures on aeromedical services

Richard James made this Official Information request to Capital and Coast District Health Board

The request was successful.

From: Richard James

Dear Capital & Coast District Health Board,

Please see the recent OIA request to NASO here:
https://fyi.org.nz/request/15310-effect-...

The Ministry of Health has only partially answered this. I have been redirected to each DHB to provide additional information.

Please could you provide all information you may have regarding the effects on aeromedical transfer of patients caused by Wellington Airport's night-time runway closures during 2020-201

Particularly:

- The number of patients affected (who could not be transferred, were taken to other airports, or transfer was delayed) & assessment of any harm caused to them
- Any assessment of the financial cost to Capital & Coast DHB's aeromedical services caused by Wellington Airport runway closures

Yours faithfully,

Richard James
