Dear J Fuller

I refer to your request dated 18 March 2014 asking for surveillance
guidelines and principles. Section 12(1) of the Official Information Act
1982 states that: "Any person, being—

(a)A New Zealand citizen; or

(b)A permanent resident of New Zealand; or

(c)A person who is in New Zealand; or

(d)A body corporate which is incorporated in New Zealand; or

(e)A body corporate which is incorporated outside New Zealand but which
has a place of business in New Zealand,—

may request a Department or Minister of the Crown or organisation to make
available to him or it any specified official information".

Police asks that you provide an address or other advice to show you
satisfy section 12 of the Official Information Act.  Police will then
prepare a response to your information request.

Thank you.

Dear MCMAHON, Teresa,

I am awaiting an address, by email or otherwise for which to provide the evidence you require. I am a resident of New Zealand. Your system however suggests that we not share our address publicly. Please advise where or how to provide the evidence you require without sharing it publicly.

Yours sincerely,

J Fuller

Dear James

Do you have an another email address from which you can email (not the fyi website?)

Alternatively if you just want to give an assurance that you satisfy section 12 of the Act that would be fine.

NZ police emails are firstname.lastname@police.govt.nz, so it should be easy to email Ms McMahon any evidence she requires.
