TPP's reply (summery - edited from original).

Please find below our response to your Official Information Act request dated 10 March 2014.

We have taken advice and it is clear to us that a member of our staff has used some diagrams in a workbook which were the property of SARINZ/Grant Prattley. We are sorry that this has occurred and can assure you that the staff member concerned has been spoken to strongly and that I have reiterated the Copyright Act implications to all Emergency Management staff especially as this relates to SARINZ.

Tai Poutini Polytechnic has also written to attendees on the course in question advising them that the images were not the property of TPP to reproduce and asking of the workbooks to be returned so the images can be replaced.

Yours sincerely

Allan Sarginson
Chief Exectutive
