Your request of 12 December 2020 was not received by the Eastern Fish and
Game Council until 20 January 2021 because the email address used by
fyi.org.nz was invalid.  We were advised of your request on 20 January by
the Ombudsman during the course of communications in relation to an
unrelated OIA request from another party that we had not received either -
for the same reason.  20 January 2021 is ground zero then, rather than 12
December 2020.

 

We subsequently advised FYI of the issue and asked that the incorrect
address be replaced with [1][Eastern Fish and Game Council request email].  We attempted to
advise you of this at the time too, but were unable to transact this via
the FYI website as FYI had not at that point rectified our contact
details.

 

20 working days from 20 January 2021 means our deadline for responding to
you is 18 February 2021, i.e. tomorrow.   We are close to finalising our
investigation with all staff and councillors and will respond to you
either later today, or tomorrow.

Further to your enquiry I attach all correspondence to and from the
Eastern Fish and Game Council and Ray Grubb for the two months preceding
12 December 2020.  There are no telephone records available for that
period and nothing to indicate any telephone conversations took place. 
You will note three of the communications have had some minor redactions
made in the interests of protecting the privacy of natural persons.
