Edward Grove made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment
Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment did not have the information requested.
From: Edward Grove
Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
On 31 August 2002 the Overview Group on the Weathertightness of Buildings that had been appointed by the Building Industry Authority ("the BIA") recommended to the BIA that it research whether there were any "issues regarding the the structural strength and durability with respect to the maturity of timber", - I would like copies of any research/consultation undertaken and/or conclusions/determinations or other actions made by the BIA as a result of that recommendation, - in particular in relation to assessing the impact of the altered properties of second rotation radiata pine (i.e. radiata pine harvested after in or about 1988) compared to first rotation radiata pine (i.e. radiata pine harvested prior to in or about 1988).
Yours faithfully,
Edward Grove
