Was the tenancy advertised publically? If not why not?

 

No, the Christchurch City Council Arts Advisors sourced a tenant by
seeking an “Artist in Residence”. This was a process approved by the local
Community Board and supported by Council.

Could I please have all correspondence between staff and elected members,
and elected members and any of the tenants or there organisation which
relates to the Mona Vale Gate House Tenancy, and staff and the tenants.  

 

A response to this part of your request will be sent to you tomorrow. This
is due to the need for further consultation.

 

We hold no emails/correspondence by elected members.

What rent is charged for the Tenancy and how was this set?

Market rent assessed by the Council’s property management company managing
the tenancy.  The rent is $600 per week.

 

What money from Council is granted to the Mona Vale Gate House in regards
to its Tenancy 

The weekly rent for the tenancy is paid as per the tenancy agreement,
money is not “granted” to the Mona Vale Gate House, the rental income goes
to the Council

 

What money is granted to the occupants or organisation.

A response to this question will be sent to you tomorrow. This is due to
the need for clarification.

Please find attached the following document containing board reports, and
staff correspondence. Please note, some information has been withheld
under the following section of the Local Government Official Information
and Meetings Act (1987):

 

·         7(2)(a) – to protect the privacy of natural persons

 

In the Council's view the reasons for withholding these details are not
outweighed by public interest considerations in section 7(1) favouring
their release.

 

In regards to your query about Elected Member correspondence, currently
there is only one email. However the information in this email has been
withheld under the following section of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act (1987):
