Subject: Official Information Act request - MSD files delayed

Dear Ministry of Social Development,

Why is there a delay in people obtaining their files from MSD under the OIA? Why has the delay not been addressed by the MSD? These delays are not a matter of weeks but months now. This is also occurring in some cases, with the complaints process.

There is also a failure by Child,Youth and Family to let people know when the file is ready to be picked up. Causing further delays in obtaining the file. What happens when the file is ready and is at the office of the requester's choice?
