Further to your information request of 15 October 2019, in respect of CCTV
cameras, I am now able to provide Hamilton City Council’s response.

You requested:

 1. A list of all CCTV cameras owned OR operated by the Hamilton City
Council, or any Council Controlled Organisations (CCO's).

3. A list of all cameras used for Automatic Number Plate Recognition
(ANPR) within Hamilton.

4. A list of all cameras used by traffic enforcement e.g. red light, or
speed cameras within Hamilton.

For each of the above points, please provide an Excel spreadsheet
containing at minimum, the camera name/id, camera location (street address

Our response:

 1. A list of all CCTV cameras owned OR operated by the Hamilton City
Council, or any Council Controlled Organisations (CCO's).

Hamilton City Council operates 264 cameras within Hamilton. There are no
cameras operated by outside organisations.

Please find attached a list of security cameras operated by Hamilton City
Council.  The location of Crime prevention and Transportation Cameras has
been withheld under section 6(a) of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 where good reason for withholding
information exists if the making available of the information would be
likely to prejudice the maintenance of the law, including the prevention,
investigation and detection of offences.

 2. A list of all CCTV cameras operated by CitySafe.

CitySafe is the Hamilton City council’s operation unit that operates the
CCTV network.  The answer to this question is provided in question 1.

 3. A list of all cameras used for Automatic Number Plate Recognition
(ANPR) within Hamilton.

Hamilton City Council operates one Automatic Number Plate Recognition
(ANPR) camera.  This is used for on-street parking analysis.  It is not
used for enforcement.

 4. A list of all cameras used by traffic enforcement e.g. red light, or
speed cameras within Hamilton.

Hamilton City Council do not operate any cameras used for traffic
enforcement , for example, red light and speed cameras within Hamilton.
