Full information re relocation of bus stop, Howick
Janet Dickson made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport
The request was partially successful.
From: Janet Dickson
Dear Auckland Transport,
Re: relocated bus stop:
Under the LGOIMA 1987 I request from Auckland Transport all information, reasons for the action, plans, diagrams, notes correspondence, letters advising affected home owners, instructions to contractors, regarding the extension as of today to the bus stop on the eastern side of Pakuranga Road between The Link and the lights at the junction with Botany Road, Howick.
Please include all information regarding the relocation of the bus stop across the entire frontage, including the driveway, of 700 Pakuranga Road, which is zoned Mixed Housing Urban under the Unitary Plan and can expect to be developed into multiple high-rise apartments, requiring unrestricted entry and exit. Please find the discussion of this particular point, which will have had an important bearing on the decision.
I point out that this bus stop was sited and worked on earlier this year, including the construction of a glass bus shelter and road markings, so all references to this initial work and information as above will need to be included.
Today the stop was moved back towards The Link and lengthened, the previous location was blacked out, and dotted yellow lines were extended along that whole portion of Pakuranga Road, removing all parking spaces.
I look forward to your earliest response.
Yours faithfully,
Janet Dickson
