Thank you for your request for official information dated 19 September
2019. When Auckland Council (AC) transferred your request to us on 2
September we asked many of Auckland Transport’s (AT) departments if the
cycleway between Saleyards Road in Otahuhu and Mahunga Drive in Favona is
an AT project. We have now been told that this is an AC Parks, Sport and
Recreation project handled by Parks Services. I am very sorry it has taken
us so long to work this out.

As this is not an AT project your request is being transferred back to
Auckland Council, as we are required to do under section 12 of the LGOIMA.

You will hear further from Auckland Council concerning your request. AC’s

appeared to be more closely aligned with the functions of AT. However,
after you clarified your request as being for -

the full and complete information for is regarding the cycleway between
Saleyards Road in Otahuhu and Mahunga Drive in Favona.

We have now agreed with AT that the council are best placed to respond,
because this part of the pathway project is being managed by Auckland
Council’s Parks Department.

We are extending the timeframe to respond to your request until 23
October. This will give us time to complete consultations and collate the
information to respond to you. I have attached an information sheet on our
processes under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act
1987 (LGOIMA).
