Dear Ms Tizzard
I refer to your request made to Police on 4 September:
Could you please provide the number of drink driving convictions for the
year ended December 31 2012, broken down by age range and gender. Could
you also please advise how many individuals were charged with their third
or subsequent EBA and the region that had the highest number of drink
drive convictions for that year.
I regret to advise that your request was not processed at the time of its
receipt due to an administrative error. Police are now considering your
request. It is likely that all or part of it will be referred to the
Ministry of Justice as Police does not hold conviction information. I
will advise you shortly if the request is transferred.
Again I apologise for the delay in responding and advise you of your right
to complain to the Ombudsman about the delay.
Teresa McMahon
