Dear Erica Cooney,
I will pay the $300 odd to get the rest of the request completed. Please send details about how to make the payment, invoice number and so on.
Re the redaction of all names from the information provided to date. I think that this is excessive, and not in keeping with the section 5 of the Local Government Official Informaiton and Meetings Act principle of availability of information.
Section 7(2)(a) of that Act does provide for withholding of information to protect the privacy of natural persons. In my opinion, this has been used excessively in the information provided to date, such that it is difficult to understand who is giving what advice. While I understand the withholding of email addresses or phone numbers may usually be desirable, the withholding of the names of the people giving advice (in emails), or who have been part of discussions on recorded matters, or are providing letters of support or opposition to a proposal should not be deleted, as that significantly reduces accountability.
Please review the withholding of the names in the information provided to date.
