Stationary vehicle enforcement policy
Cody C made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was successful.
      From: Cody C

    Dear New Zealand Police,
I understand that Police often refer allegations of stationary vehicle parking offences to territorial authorities (TAs) for enforcement.
Many TAs don’t have parking enforcement staff. Those that do may not have cover outside business hours or on public holidays.
I understand under these circumstances that the duty would then fall to Police for enforcement. In practise this seems to not be the case.
Can you please provide some background to how Police monitor and enforce parking offences, such as your Stationary vehicle enforcement policy or similar (if exists) and any MOUs with TAs (if exists).
Yours faithfully,
Cody C
