Has any advice been given to the Minister of Building and Housing on heating and ventilation issues?
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Department of Building and Housing
The request was refused by Department of Building and Housing.
From: Alex Harris
Dear Department of Building and Housing,
On 11 February it was revealed that the Minister of Building and Housing had a conflict of interest in the construction industry. As a result, he had "nstructed officials that [he] would not receive papers on and would withdraw from discussions about heating and ventilation because of [his] directorship of Holyoake Industries Ltd" (TVNZ, "Williamson accused of conflict of interest on Mainzeal", 11 Feb 2013). I would like to request the following information under the OIA:
* has the Minister of Building and Housing received any advice from the department on heating and ventilation issues since becoming Minister?
* If so, copies of all the advice received. If this would require substantial collation and research, then I am willing to settle for a list of the titles of all papers received, and their dates.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
