Could the Service please provide statistics on the viewership of the online Parliament TV service accessible from:

http://www.parliament.nz/en-NZ/AboutParl...

In particular, I'm interested in total streaming clients (ie, concurrent viewers) by time for the year to date.

Hi Hamish

 

The Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives is the agency with
responsibility for Parliament TV. Neither the Office nor the Parliamentary
Service are subject to the Official Information Act at present.
Nevertheless, we endeavour to respond to requests for information where we
can.

 

In this case I’m afraid we do not have any data on the number of people
accessing the streaming services for Parliament TV. I expect that as part
of future development of this service we will implement logging of this
type. Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Thank you for your rapid response, even though the office is not subject to the OIA. It's a shame the data isn't available, as I think it would demonstrate the growing popularity of, what I think, is a valuable service.
