Dear New Zealand Police,

Thank you for your response. I'll look into the coronial case to see if I can see the results once it's completed.

I understand, and respect the necessary for privacy of the deceased. But I'm also in an awkward position.

Approximately 20 news articles were written around Mr. Dubovskiy. The majority of them hint darkly about links to the CC shooter, white supremacy, terrorism and 'Nazi' fanaticism. Reporters hunted down disgruntled ex-neighbors for negative commentary. These reports were picked up, and pass around to international news outlets such as dailymail. I consider this incredibly disrespectful, possibly slanderous, and unfair to a man who can no longer defend himself, and I am not happy about it.

I've done my own research and find very little to back this up other these incredulous claims. I consider it to be borderline slanderous reporting, designed to prey on the fears of the NZ communities, and exhibiting the stereotypical bigotry against NZ men who suffer from mental health issues.

With this context in mind, can you throw us a bone here? I believe you can still confirm the below while maintaining the integrity of the on-going trial, and protecting the privacy of those concerned:
- Can the NZ police confirm that Mr. Dubovskiy was not considered a terrorist.
- Can the NZ police confirm that Mr. Dubovskiy was not considered a 'Nazi', despite his collection of War Memorabilia.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Wilson

Updated request to mark as refused. I won't contact ombudsman, but I will try to see if the Coroner report will be available once it's completed.
