Official information request for information related to the gender-neutral bathrooms across the University

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your official information request dated 21 March 2019:

"I seek to receive an updated version of this list of the gender-neutral bathrooms, or bathrooms that could otherwise serve as gender-neutral (i.e. unisex or accessible bathrooms) located on all Victoria University of Wellington campuses. This list should reflect the developments to the university campuses that have occurred since 2015 and be an exhaustive or otherwise fully comprehensive list that includes enough information to make them easily located. This would include, but not be limited to, the campus, building, floor and room the bathrooms are located in.

I am also aware that you are able to, or direct to those who are able to, provide us with individual detailed floor plans showing the locations of these bathrooms. I would like for this information to be included in this request."

We received your request on the 21st of March. We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any event no later than the 18th of April, being 20 working days after the day your request was received. If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an extension of that timeframe.

If any additional factors come to light which are relevant to your request, please do not hesitate to contact me so that these can be taken into account.

Dear Victoria University of Wellington,

I am contacting you in my capacity as a member of the Executive Team for UniQ Victoria. To accommodate the students we represent, not limited to transgender, non-binary, gender non-confirming students, we typically provide information as to the location of gender-neutral bathrooms for their convenience, safety and security. We acquired this information through a previous OIA request made in 2015 by a member of a previous Executive Team.

I seek to receive an updated version of this list of the gender-neutral bathrooms, or bathrooms that could otherwise serve as gender-neutral (i.e. unisex or accessible bathrooms) located on all Victoria University of Wellington campuses. This list should reflect the developments to the university campuses that have occurred since 2015 and be an exhaustive or otherwise fully comprehensive list that includes enough information to make them easily located. This would include, but not be limited to, the campus, building, floor and room the bathrooms are located in.

I am also aware that you are able to, or direct to those who are able to, provide us with individual detailed floor plans showing the locations of these bathrooms. I would like for this information to be included in this request.

This information would be of great service to us and the students we represent as it would make navigating the campuses easier and improve the overall well-being of the students by eliminating a potential source of stress for students.
