The use of Baycorp for collection of infringement fees.

Grace Haden made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Auckland Transport should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Grace Haden

Dear Auckland Transport,
I recently received a LGOIMA response from you which is also on the FYI web site entitled "entrapment on parking in Ellerslie"

Despite the information which you sent me proving that I had not committed and offence you kept on enforcing the faulty infringement notice .

while I had the matter before you and had recorded it as a dispute , I received a collection letter from Bay corp .

by way of LGOIMA please provide me with the policy and / or any legal basis you have for sending information off to a third party for collection when the matter is actively under dispute.

Further I note that in your statement of intent you state "Infringement amounts not recovered after 60 days are lodged with the courts for collection. "

please provide all policies or legal basis which you rely upon to send personal information to a third party such as Baycorp who uses this information to propagate their databases.

Further provide all discussion documents, notes etc which consider privacy issues with regards to using Baycorp.

Please advise when the contract with Bay corp was entered into and why this conflicts with your statements on the statement of intent.

Yours faithfully,

Grace Haden
