Details about the new journey planner

Shenglin Zeng made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport

The request was successful.

From: Shenglin Zeng

Dear Auckland Transport,

According to the Business Report of April 2013, as tabled in Auckland Transport Board' April meeting, Auckland Transport is planning to introduce a new journey planner (see the Public Transport subsection under the Operations section in the report.)
My questions are:
1) What is the status of this project?
2) Depending on the answer to 1, what are/were the options Auckland Transport is looking at/looked at for changing or replacing the existing journey planner? If an option has been chosen, which option was it?
3) Has Auckland Transport considered OpenTripPlanner (http://opentripplanner.com/), a free and open source journey planner as an option for this project?

Yours faithfully,
Sheng Lin Zeng.
