1. A copy of MBIE's policy on the use of social media in investigations, and if this varies by business group or branch, please supply a copy of the policy for each business group or branch which has one.

2. A breakdown of the number of staff who have received social media training by business group and branch, along with the reason for such training.

3. Whether private and / or "friends only" information is being harvested, what that information is, and whether warrants are sought for doing so.

On behalf of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment I
acknowledge your email of 11 January 2019 requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

 

1. A copy of MBIE's policy on the use of social media in investigations,
and if this varies by business group or branch, please supply a copy of
the policy for each business group or branch which has one.

 

2. A breakdown of the number of staff who have received social media
training by business group and branch, along with the reason for such
training.

 

3. Whether private and / or "friends only" information is being harvested,
what that information is, and whether warrants are sought for doing so.

 

Please note that the days from 25 December 2018 to 15 January 2019
(inclusive) are defined as non- working days in the Act and are not
counted in the calculation for the response due date. This will affect the
time period for responding to your request.
