Dear Chris Brown,

thank you again for this timely response. I apologise that my initial request has not been clear enough. I do not seek merely information regarding vacant land that can be sold; I am interested in any unbuilt-on Council land that could have housing (temporary/movable housing) placed apon it with the aim of utilising 'unused' land for social housing until the land is required for other purposes.

I hope this clarifies my request, and I look forward to hearing further from you. I completely understand that you will need time to assemble this information.

Yours sincerely,

Hayley Robinson

Hello Hayley,

This was originally sent to your personal email address, in an attempt to arrange a meeting at which the Council's vacant land situation could be better explained before posting the response to FYI.

As you have not responded as yet, I repeat the invitation to meet with regard to this matter.

Subject: LGOIMA request regarding vacant land

Hello Hayley,

This email is in regard to your information request follow-up on vacant land held by the Council.

The reason I've written to this address instead of the FYI on at this point is to invite you in to the Council to discuss the availability of land and the restrictions placed upon it, with [removed to prevent harassment], Property Services Manager, and myself. It is hoped we can provide a better explanation this way.

Of course, we will then be able to provide the Council's response for the FYI web-site, but would like to ensure an understanding beforehand.

Would you be able to advise of your possible availability to meet. (from our calendars here, we are both available on Friday this week, Monday, Tuesday or Friday next week, or by negotiation after that)

Kind regards

Chris

Dear Chris Brown,

I apologise for missing that correspondence, I have indeed located it under your own name rather than via fyi.

I would be very happy to meet with [removed to prevent harassment], Property Services Manager, and yourself, you can call me on 977 1759 to arrange a time.

I would however, ask you to continue using fyi for responses to my information requests; the reason being that I have still not received a response to the one information request I sent outside this service (20 May 2013) which you kindly informed me had been forwarded to the issues resolution service. That was the one about Council's catering spending.

I would like to assure you at this point, that I am a reasonable, polite and fair-minded person and will be delighted to meet you; I am interested in obtaining information, not creating conflict.

Nga mihi nui,

Hayley Robinson

Hello Hayley,

Thank you for the below email.

I will speak with Tracey and then call you on the provided number to arrange a time for you to come in to discuss the Council land situation.

With regard to the information request you mention below, sent from your personal email address to the Council, please find attached a copy of the reply I sent to you on 27 May 2013.

Your request was for direction to the location you could find detailed financial statements, "including the Council spending on food and drink". In response, I advised that the Council's annual report is available online, but that there was not the level of 'drill-down' that you were looking for.

I also stated that for more specific information, you were welcome to make an information request, and provided the email address for the Issues Resolution Office for contact

Kind regards

Chris

Dear Chris Brown,

No, actually what you stated was "Your request has been forwarded to the Issues Resolution Office", which I took to mean that my 'drill down' request had indeed, been "forwarded to the Issues Resolution Office". I'm sorry if this was an unreasonable assumption, and I will make a new request for that information.

On the vacant land matter, I do seriously look forward to meeting with yourself and other staff, as I consider it a far more important issue than the "Council food and drink" information request.

Thank you again for your time,

Yours sincerely,

Hayley Robinson

Hello Hayley,

Thank you for coming into the Council yesterday, 11 July 2013, to discuss your request with myself and [removed to prevent harassment], Property Services Manager.

I trust you left with an understanding of the Council's position with regard to vacant land availability, and the reasons that land that may look available is not.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Kind regards

Chris

Dear Chris Brown,

Thank you also for your time. I confirm that Tracy and yourself explained that there are no 'vacant' areas available for residential buildings, even of a temporary nature.

Yours sincerely,
