From: FOXWELL, Holly
New Zealand Police
Dear Joseph
I have been asked to let you know that Police requires an extension of
time in which to respond to your request for:
“1.Section 48 of the children and young persons act (unaccompanied
children and young persons)
2. Persons using obscene/inappropriate language in public (summary
offences act)
4. How on-duty police cannot be 'offended' if sworn at by people in
public.”
This extension is pursuant to section 15A(1) of the Official Information
Act 1982, because the request necessitates consultations such that a
proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the
original time limit.
Police require until 7/11/2018 to provide a substantive response to your
request.
You have the right to ask the Office of the Ombudsman to review this
extension.
Kind regards
Holly Foxwell
