Kia Ora Nicholas,
I am currently in the process of compiling a response to your OIA request
below. I am seeking clarification of your question to ensure we answer
with the correct information.
In relation to the limitations of the system are you wanting:
1. The limitations with dual purpose camera’s ie camera’s that
can do both speed and red light running
2. Or the limitations of the processing volume of the system

Dear WHITEHEAD, Hannah,
I'm interested in both aspects of the camera system. Also this should be red light and/or speed cameras.
The main constraint seems to be the back office processing technology. Specific focus on this is of most interest.
Yours sincerely,
Nicholas Lee

Dear New Zealand Police,
Thank you for your response.
Can you please review your refusal under section 9(2)(b)(ii). You have not made a sufficient argument to support your refusal as per 19(a).
1. There is no explanation for why disclosure would prejudice the commercial position.
2. No support for why this prejudice would be unreasonable in the circumstances.
3. No indication of consideration for public interest outweighing the reasons for withholding the information.
Further, there are surely aspects of these systems which are internal to the Police process and not part of the commercial relationship. These aspects will not be covered by section 9(2)(b)(ii).
I note that section 4 supports our right to accountability and participation. Just because the Police have outsourced this aspects of this work, should not preclude us for having access to the requested information to allow us to exercise these rights.
Yours sincerely,
Nicholas Lee
