Dear Auckland Transport,

I am wondering if I could request for any information on the cameras in the area of papatoetoe traffic lights. Corner of Wallace rd and st George st.sunday the 5th of August around 3pm and 4pm. Grey 2004 Nissan primera was sitting at the lights when someone in a grey hooded jumper approached the vehicle on a bicycle then proceeded to strike the occupant in the car until it sped off down Wallace rd.any information or photos would be appreciated.thank you .

Dear Tahanga

 

We refer to today’s request for CCTV footage in relation to an incident
that occurred at the corner of Wallace Road and St George Street on
Sunday, 5 August 2018 between 3pm and 4pm.

 

Your request was immediately referred to the Auckland Transport Operations
Centre (‘ATOC’) to review our CCTV cameras.  ATOC advise that we do not
hold any footage relevant to this incident as the camera was facing in the
wrong direction and thus did not pick up anything. Your request is
therefore refused under section 17(e) of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA), as the footage requested does
not exist. 

 

Should you believe that we have not responded appropriately to your
request, you have the right in accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA
to make a complaint to the [1]Office of the Ombudsman to seek an
investigation and review of the decision.
