Dear New Zealand Police,

Can you please provide me all documentation the nz police hold regarding
the nz police definition of what those belonging to or relating to the
word/term "gang" and all nz police and nz laws including acts, bills,
legislations and amendments and any other relevant nz government document
relating to the meaning and classification of what "gang" means.

Dear Sharna

I have been asked to let you know that Police requires an extension of time in which to respond to your request for a definition of what a gang is and legislation. This extension is pursuant to section 15A(1) of the Official Information Act 1982, because the request necessitates consultations such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
                                                                                           
Police require until 28 August 2018 to provide a substantive response to your request. 
 
You have the right to ask the Office of the Ombudsman to review this extension.
