From: FOXWELL, Holly
New Zealand Police
Dear Jason
I have been asked to let you know that Police requires an extension of
time in which to respond to your request for the number of unmanned drones
currently being used by New Zealand Police for surveillance. This
extension is pursuant to section 15A(1) of the Official Information Act
1982, because the request necessitates consultations such that a proper
response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time
limit.
Police require until 19 July 2018 to provide a substantive response to
your request.
You have the right to ask the Office of the Ombudsman to review this
extension.
Kind regards
Holly Foxwell
Ministerial Services Officer
