Successful Recruit Applications

Thomas Holmes made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

The request was partially successful.

From: Thomas Holmes

Dear New Zealand Police,

1. For each stage of the selection process please outline how many recruits successfully made it past this stage vs how many applicants made it to this stage of the process.

For example:
Initial vetting - 150/200

The above would indicate that 150 applicants successfully passed this stage out of 200.

2. Please provide a list of reasons that applicants have their applications declined, along with the number of applicants declined per reason.

3. Please provide a copy of the "Constabulary Recruitment Guidelines".

Yours faithfully,

Thomas Holmes

Dear Mr Holmes

I refer to your Official Information Requests of 30 May 2018 for
information relating to the vetting of potential police recruits,
successful recruitment applications and speeding infringements.

The purpose of this email is to notify you that Police requires an
extension of time in which to respond to your request, pursuant to section
15A(1) of the Official Information Act 1982, because the request
necessitates a search through a large quantity of information and
consultations such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably
be made within the original time limit.

Police require until 20 July 2018 to provide a substantive response to
your request.

Kind regards

Salote Talagi
