See the attached a map of wallaby sightings in the Kaimai Ranges. Each dot
represents a wallaby sighting. A yellow dots represent an unconfirmed
sighting, meaning a wallaby has been reported, by say a member of the
public, however Council investigations failed to confirm wallaby presence.
A red dot represents a confirmed sighting.  In this case wallaby scat was
found. There are 6 yellow dots and 1 red dot.

 

> It has been reported that the Council intend to aerial drop 1080 on the
Kaimais. When and where is this to occur?

 

The Waikato Regional Council currently has no plans to aerially apply 1080
to the Kaimais.

Council, either on its own, or in conjunction with any other organisation or company, currently has no plans to aerially apply 1080 to the Kaimais.

To determine whether any other organisation or company has plans to drop 1080 in the Kaimais, you would need to contact that organisation or company. In relation to DOC, Council will transfer your request should you wish it to so. However, you are likely to receive a response sooner if you send your request directly to DOC, thereby avoiding the time required by Council's transfer process.
