Dear Sarah

Regarding your recent LGOIMA request for information about the culling of

RFS 539841.

Request 1: ‘I am requesting all and any paperwork in relation to the
decision to kill the chickens at Kelvin Grove Cemetery, as per the recent

There is no paperwork relating to this decision, as it was made as part of
day-to-day operational work.

Request 2: ‘I also want the name and job titles of all those involved in
this decision.’

The decision was authorised by Parks and Property Manager John Brenkley.

Request 3: ‘If this was voted on by the Councillors, I would like a list
of who voted for and who voted against this decision.’

This was not a Council decision.

Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Kind Regards

Hi Sarah

Please refer to the attached spreadsheet which shows the complaints which
were officially lodged through the Council’s Customer Service system
relating to the roosters and chickens being at the cemetery. As with the
initial email you were sent for this LGOIMA request, we have withheld all
information relating to the identity and contact details of the
complainants and staff members.

Cemetery staff have received numerous verbal complaints from residents for
about a year. It is approximated that staff have received these verbal
complaints from cemetery visitors on a weekly/ fortnightly basis. These
complaints have been made while staff have been working out in the
cemetery, and so were not lodged officially through Customer Services.

Kind Regards
