Further to our below email, we are currently preparing our response to
your OIA request.

 

As you may be aware, there are grounds under which information may be
withheld under the OIA, for example, to protect an individual’s privacy (s
9(2)(a)). As your request relates to information provided to the
Broadcasting Standards Authority by third parties (such as complaints,
submissions and other correspondence), we are required to consult any
affected third parties who have an interest in that information, to seek
their views on whether any of the withholding grounds apply to the
information we intend to release.

 

Before we take the step of consulting with affected third parties, we wish
to advise that you will be named, as the requester of the information, in
our correspondence with those parties. No other information about you, for
example, your contact details, will be provided.

 

We intend to begin the process of consultation on Wednesday 11 April 2018.
As such, could you please confirm by 5pm on Tuesday 10 April 2018 if you
have any concerns with your name being provided.
