David Lawson made this Official Information request to Accident Compensation Corporation

The request was successful.

From: David Lawson

Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,

I am emailing to request the following Official Information;

Please supply the name and contact email address for the Branch Manager of the Wellington Central Branch, at the same time confirming whether Jane Harding reports directly to this manager.

If Jane Harding reports to a different manager within the Wellington Central Branch, or elsewhere within the Corporation, please advise the name and contact email address of this Manager, their title and which branch that this manager is allocated to.

I respectfully request that this official information is provided under urgency within the next 3 working days since the information is readily available to the Corporation and will allow me to address directly with the WCB Manager a number of unaddressed matters relating to claims management.

Dear Mr Lawson

Thank you for your email of 13 February 2018, requesting the following
information:

Please supply the name and contact email address for the Branch Manager of
the Wellington Central Branch, at the same time confirming whether Jane
Harding reports directly to this manager.

If Jane Harding reports to a different manager within the Wellington
Central Branch, or elsewhere within the Corporation, please advise the
name and contact email address of this Manager, their title and which
branch that this manager is allocated to.

This email is to inform you that we are working on your request and will
be in touch with you by 13 March 2018. We note your request for an urgent
response within three working days. While we are unlikely to be able to
provide the information to you within that time frame, we will endeavour
to provide a response as soon as possible.

While the Act allows a requester to ask for a request to be processed
urgently (where they specify the reason for this), agencies are not bound
by such a request. Whether a response can be provided under urgency will
depend on various factors, including the complexity of the request, the
time required to form a response, and the workload of the agency.

In the meantime, if you have any questions we will be happy to work with
you to resolve these. We can be contacted by email at [email address]

Kind regards

Government Engagement and Support

Dear Government Services,

I note receipt of your acknowledgement of my OIA request, in which I respectfully asked for a response under urgency, within 3 working days of 13 February 2018.

Furthermore I note your comments received today, re my request for urgency.

That given, I respectfully repeat my request that my original request for urgency be respected and meet since this information that I seek is known to, or easily obtainable from ACC by Government Services, the information sought is not complex, and could have been most probably established by Government Services in the time frame it took to provide your response of 15 February 2018, and therefore my request for urgency in the first instance will not place any unreasonable demands upon Government Services as such.

I therefore look forward to receiving the information in full as requested in my OIA lodged on 13 February 2018, by the end of business close on 16 February 2018.

I thank you for your time and assistance.

Kind regards,

David Lawson

Dear Government Services,

I am following up my request for the provision of this information that was requested under the provisions of urgency under the Official Information Act by the end of business close by 16 February 2018.

I note that I have not received this information which is non complex and easily attainable Official Information for ACC Government Services nor a valid reason as to why my request under urgency has not been met.

I also refer to your OIA response through FYI to another requester who was seeking the contact details of the ACC's Chief Medical Advisor which can be found at https://fyi.org.nz/request/7167-chief-me..., and the Corporations advice that such iformation is preferred to be communicated to a requestors personal email address, as opposed to being released through a public website.

Therefore to avoid any unnecessary delay in the supply of the information I have requested I confirm that I am happy to have the information in this OIA request forwarded directly to my following email address:- [email address] and appreciate your time and assistance.

I therefore respectfully welcome the provision of this information to my email address without further delay.

Yours sincerely,

David Lawson
