Hi Cody
Re your enquiry.
We have only one retirement Home with an alcohol licence, being, Alpine
View Lifestyle Village
First issued on 13 July 2015. They run a licenced café and hold an on
licence.
There are no Bylaws that I am aware of that effect any licence
application.
The only matters which may come into play could be city plan rules.
Retirement villages in all probability would be located in living areas,
food & beverage outlets generally are not permitted in these zones.
However in saying that, most retirement homes etc would be established by
way of resource consents for various breaches of development or community
standards.
A resource consent could also permit the sale of alcohol.
