Auckland Pride Festival 2016

Emmy Rākete made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

Response to this request is long overdue. By law New Zealand Police should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Emmy Rākete

New Zealand Police,

I am a New Zealand citizen and currently reside in Aotearoa, as
required by s12(1) of the OIA 1982.

A contingent of uniformed police officers marched in the Auckland
Pride parade in February of 2016. Disclose how many people
were part of this contingent and break down how many
representatives of each branch or unit within the New Zealand
Police were present, including but not limited to the Armed
Offenders Squad and Special Tactics Group. Out of these
individuals, disclose the number who identified themselves as
lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. Disclose the number who identified themselve as allies, and not as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. Release all internal communications relating to officer involvement in Pride 2016.

If information needs to be withheld with respect to individuals'
privacy, excise/redact that information and disclose what
you can.

Nāku nā,

Emmy Rākete
