Monitoring of Resource Consent Conditions - Second Dwellings

Fluid Industries Ltd made this Official Information request to Auckland Council

The request was partially successful.

From: Fluid Industries Ltd

Dear Auckland Council,

Many of the legacy Council's routinely issued resource consents for secondary dwellings in rural areas subject to a condition that the dwelling be removed when the (then) current occupier vacated the building. Such conditions were usually in the form of consent notices or covenants that the Council is a party to, and has a registered interest in.

Please provide an estimate of the number of properties subject to such a condition, and the monitoring regime presently in place to ensure that these conditions are complied with.

Yours faithfully,

Fluid Industries Ltd
