ASB Theatre loan draw down

Dear Marlborough District Council,

In an article about the ASB theatre funding published in today's Marlborough Express mayor Alistair Sowman is quoted as saying "They've given an assurance that they will be able to pay the loan back over a period," and "I'm certainly confident they're working hard on their fundraising, and that they will be able to meet their obligations.". Please declare per the OIA a) has the theatre drawn anything from the loan guaranteed by the Marlborough District Council and b) what are the repayment terms and interest rate that the Marlborough District Council will be held accountable to the bank for in case the ASB trust defaults.

I refer to your email of 12 February 2016 and attach an agenda for an
extraordinary Council meeting on 7 March 2016.  This addresses the issues
you raised.
 
The repayment terms and interest rate associated with the ASB loan to the
Trust is seen as a commercial matter between the bank and the Trust and is
therefore withheld under s7 (2) (b) (ii) LGOIMA.
