I am requesting the notebook entries and any jobsheets completed by detective Dean Patutama in relation to a visit he made to the Club Feenix entertainment venue in relation to cctv footage that he obtained. The visit was made around 24th November 2013 to 1 December 2013.

By law, the police were required to respond to my request by February 15.
It is now February 17.
Could you provide an explanation for not upholding the law.

Perhaps NZ Police need to reminded again that there is no limitation on the type of channels through which OIA requests can be made.
As per other Ombudsman guidance an official facebook or twitter account is valid as a method of making a request.
It may be that NZ Police believe that this request is not valid but that does not preclude them replying as such with an appropriate (and reasoned) refusal rather than their rather rude response.
